Shining For Arts Education and the Advancement of Equality
MISSION
Our mission is to shine for inclusive arts education and the advancement of equality. Our purpose is to cause peace in the world.
HISTORY
As a donor advised fund established in 2011, JMF has raised over $1 million to help support organizations such as Harmonic Humanity, True Colors United, Life Rolls On, School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community (SPARC), Rock n’ Roll Camp For Girls, and American Foundation for Equal Rights. In 2017 JMF transitioned into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to shine for inclusive arts education and the advancement of equality by providing program support, performance opportunities, and arts education.
NEWS
Help us share the good during these difficult times. Tell us about a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in the U.S. that aligns with our mission to shine for inclusive arts education and the advancement of equality.
Our team will review your submissions and reach out to the organizations for more details. Our intention is to award $2,000 grants to 25 U.S. organizations that align with our mission.
Submissions are closed at this time.
In 2019 we launched our first performance program in Southern California: SHINE, a bright new musical adventure featuring Jason Mraz & Friends in collaboration with San Diego arts organizations, which concluded with two sold-out performances at the Spreckels Theatre on February 15 & 16, 2020.
With your support, the Jason Mraz Foundation donates over $150,000 annually to organizations that provide inclusive arts education and support the advancement of equality. Giving Tuesday is your chance to make a difference with us.
