Rocket Revisited – on vinyl & video

November 17, 2017

A few months ago I tweeted that I needed a VCR ASAP – and fans delivered. (Thank you, Marissa!) The result was an archeological dig through past performances and personal VHS tapes from a pre-digital era to revisit the good old daze of recording my first album, Waiting For My Rocket To Come, 15 years ago, touring in a van, meeting lifelong fans, and becoming who I am.

Today I’m excited to share that Waiting For My Rocket To Come is out now on vinyl! With never before seen pics by Alison Dyer, expanded art by the great Robert Fisher, and new liner notes written by yours truly. Buy it at your preferred retailer here.

In 2002 I gave studio engineer Peter Harding a video camera to capture some footage for my dad and my grandma. That recording session ended up changing both of our lives, as WFMRTC became an international hit and Peter went on to become a badass filmmaker. Peter and I revisit that era and discuss the album genesis with some never-before-seen footage in a short new series we call Rocket Revisited. Watch Part 1 here:

    Look at you now
Look at you now, now, now, now…
    …after 15 years. What a great view!
Keep it up, Curbside Prophet! May your prophecies be always great and wonderful!
